IB Candidate School
Building Local & Global Leaders

We are proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school. As a candidate school, our teachers and students embrace the IB framework that helps students make powerful connections between what they are learning in the classroom and real life.
Students are actively engaged in their own learning, empowered to become self-directed learners who are intellectually challenged and motivated. Working in groups and service-learning projects, students gain practical experiences that help them accept and understand the opinions and lived experiences of people who are different from them.
IB is an international and meaningful extension of our international arts focus. Together, these programs help students discover their passions and develop skills to address complex local and global issues. We strive to develop students who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities and on the world.
Madison Middle is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programmes. Madison Middle is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB schools share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that is important for our students.
